Time to set up the new computer

Two months ago, I posted that I was able to log on to Star Wars: The Old Republic for the first time in a month.  Three weeks ago, I started having problems with the game again, as it would crash my computer after being on for ten minutes.  That's the kind of problem I had in July that made me turn down all my graphics settings so I could continue playing.  It also made my wife and I buy a new CPU that has been sitting behind me waiting for me to copy down my logins and passwords so I could set it up.  Well, today, the computer crashed during a Zoom call for work.  That does it.  I will be setting up the computer this weekend.

Ugh. That's awful.

For passwords: I recommend something like LastPass to let you store your passwords as securely as possible, and that way all you need is the browser plug-in and a master password.

Thanks for the sympathy and advice. Yeah, it's really annoying. This computer is still very good for blogging and general surfing, but it just isn't up to the tasks that demand a lot out of the video card and physical memory.

That's a good idea. I had custody of a LastPass account for my nonprofit, but I gave it up. My wife uses Avast to store her passwords and she's suggesting I do that, too.

LastPass is what my family uses and we pay for a family account. I like it, but you do what's best for you, obvs :)
