Nov. 12th, 2023 01:22 pmI wrote "I've been waiting all century to hear the music from Princess Mononoke on a football field" in Studio Ghibli film music show. My first opportunity was in 2004, but only saw it yesterday. It's probably because it was uploaded in 2016, after I had stopped looking for the show on YouTube. Watching the show in November 8th's post made me search for it again.

Legends Drum & Bugle Corps of Kalamazoo, Michigan, sent a small ensemble of corps members to perform the National Anthem as part of the 2022 DCI Tour Premiere, June 28, at Detroit's Ford Field.

Feb. 25th, 2023 02:13 pmThis corps was the local rival to the first corps I marched in, the Anaheim Kingsmen. The Velvet Knights were from Buena Park at the time, which borders Anaheim to the northwest. The rivalry even extended to our associated theme parks. The Kingsmen were sponsored by Disneyland (one of our nicknames was "The Magic Kingsmen") while I heard that VK worked with Knott's Berry Farm.
