My comment on Troy Mayor Janice Daniels shows how to be vulnerable to a scandal.

I'm repeating what I wrote to Housify: "If you had posted this on Entertainment and true crime the themes of Emmy nominees for Outstanding Documentary or Nonfiction Series, I'd have let it stay, as I've already judged you and your fellow accounts to be marginally on-topic and I'm letting you race the Nigerian spammers at HIV news for World AIDS Day for most comments on a post this month. Here, I'm deeming it off-topic and deleting it."

Thank you for following my directions at Troy Mayor Janice Daniels shows how to be vulnerable to a scandal. Your advertising stays here, not anywhere else.

My comment on Colbert and Kimmel observe the fifth anniversary of January 6th.

Hey, K-Dog, long time no see! Welcome back to the blog and thanks for linking to this post and the invitation to your forum at https://chasingthesquirrel.com/!

My comment on the Instagram post for New guidelines flip the food pyramid on its head.

LOL. The comedians paid the most attention to the non-recommendation about alcohol. It was funnier than the actual recommendations for meat and dairy and against ultraprocessed foods.

My comment on Marsh Family sings 'Battle Hymn of the Empire' and other parodies.

My comment on Link round-up for 17 January 2026.

Thanks for linking to my post featuring the Marsh Family! I'm glad you enjoy them and plan on posting more of their videos.

On another note, the person claiming to be the CEO of a Michigan company heckling protestors in Minnesota is an impostor. Link: Man claiming to run Michigan company before viral ICE protest video lied about position, CEO says. This story says bad things about right-wing influencers and attention-seekers, the fact-checking of TV journalists, and the reputation of CEOs, even if no actual CEO was involved in what turned out to be a hoax.

My comment on How a Music Store Created a Free Ensemble for All.

No, but I recognized a Bridgmen production number, "In the Stone," from 1980-1981.

My comment on PBS Terra explains 'This Is How the World Ends According to Science'.

Glad you appreciated it!

My comment on The Marsh Family sings 'Piece of Denmark' about Trump and Greenland.

My comment on Well, Isn't This Special.

"[W]eather magic is notoriously unpredictable, especially in the hands of the poorly trained." I learned this the hard way about weather prayers, twice. A couple years after I moved to Michigan from California, when I was still a practicing Christian, I twice prayed for weather that I thought I would like better than what I experienced my first year here. First, I got tired of "six months of November," cold gray skies with no snow. I prayed for it to either snow or be sunny. I got my wish and a lot of snow to boot. Second, I prayed for a less humid summer. The result was the summer of 1992, which featured the coldest, cloudiest, and rainiest July on record for metro Detroit up to that time. I didn't break a sweat until August. Of course, I would gotten the latter even if I hadn't prayed. Before I made my request of the divine, Mount Pinatubo erupted, throwing volcanic ash into the atmosphere, which was the scientific reason for the unusually cool summer. Even so, I learned my lesson; be careful what you wish for, you might get it!

"Back in my teen years, when I was hopelessly naive about magic, a friend and I tried to play games with a winter storm for stupid reasons, and had it blow up out of control and cause a lot of damage and disruption." I don't suppose this was one of three storms that became blizzards in the Eastern U.S., the Blizzard of 1977, the Great Blizzard of 1978, or the Northeastern Blizzard of 1978? The latter two happened during an El Nino that dumped rain on California and apparently fed moisture all the way across the country. If so, you were pushing a rising balloon up.

My comment on 'Snow White' and 'War of the Worlds' tie for most Razzie nominations ahead of 'Star Trek: Section 31'.

My comment on For National Diatomaceous Earth Day, SciShow asks 'You Can Buy Fossils At The Hardware Store?'

I wish all my advertising comments were like yours, informative, on-topic, and from a reputable company. It also lacks the insincere flattery a lot of spammers use. It stays.

My comment on Unused video for Oscar screenplay nominees post.

Yes, he's in Season 2 as Lacerta Legate. I didn't know that until you asked, as my wife and I are still catching up on Season 1. Thanks to you, I know to look for him when we get to Season 2.

My comment on Excised video for Minnesota protest songs post.

It costs a lot to subscribe to all the streaming services, and it doesn't help that Star Trek's new shows are only available on Paramount+ in the U.S. Outside of the U.S., the new Star Trek shows were on Netflix, but mostly have been moved to Paramount+ as the service becomes available.

My comment on the link to Lydic, Meyers, Kimmel, and Colbert take closer looks at the 'Melania' documentary and other news at Instagram.

I do, too. That's one of the reasons he's The Boss!
