My comments on the link to Netflix buys Warner Brothers at MeWe.
Would Paramount succeeding in its hostile takeover bid be better for "the neighborhood?" Or would it be best if both Netflix and Paramount fail?
I'll count that as both bids failing being best for movies and movie goers. That would require Paramount's hostile takeover bid being voted down by stockholders, then Netflix's bid being disapproved by regulators. I think that would result in Paramount making another bid, this time for both Warner Bros. and Discovery Global, and that being accepted and approved, so the best result would not be permanent.
My comment on the link to Yesterworld Entertainment recounts 'The Troubled History of the Star Wars Holiday Special - Why & How It Failed' on MeWe.
Just watching the clips was painful. Also, Carrie Fisher used to play this at Christmas to get people to leave, it was that bad.
