Thank you. I'm finding out who my friends really are.
My comments on Health crisis day.
Thank you, Infidel753. I'm in the ICU right now, but I am making a good recovery.
I moved from the ICU to a regular medical unit on Wednesday night then came home on Thursday night. I've been resting and recovering at home since then, only leaving to pick up my prescriptions. I feel much better, but I'm going to have to adjust a new diet and drug regimen.
Thank you. That's exactly what I've been doing.

Blogger's aggressive retroactive moderation has caught up with your spam and I'm not retrieving it from the bit bucket. Good riddance!

Thanks, Paul, and welcome back to my blog! I'm glad you're wearing the campaign's t-shirt. I'll be foregoing t-shirts, lawn signs (I've had too many stolen and vandalized over the years), and maybe even bumper stickers this year, so someone needs to do the in real life advertising.
Thanks to Steve in Manhattan for linking to this entry at Mike's Blog Roundup at Crooks and Liars and welcome to all of you who came here from his link! It took some doing to determine who wrote today's entry because a security issue is preventing me from accessing the site from my desktop. I had to use my smartphone to confirm the link. Also, I couldn't seem to publish this comment with the link.
Also, welcome to all my international readers from Singapore, Hong Kong, Canada, the United Kingdom, and the rest of the world. I appreciate all of you, especially those from Singapore, who contributed ~1,540 page views this past week, slightly more than half from my American readers.
Never mind. As my readers can see, I was able to publish the comment multiple times; I just kept getting error messages as long as I included the link, then saw the comment publish without issue once I deleted it. Go figure.
Welcome to Crazy Eddie's Motie News and thank you for your work on behalf of democracy!
My comment on 2024 Box Office - Alien Romulus Worldwide - Sequel Worth It For Disney?!
Disney used "Alien" in one of its parks for decades. The Great Movie Ride at Hollywood Studios had an "Alien" scene. It disappeared along with the rest of the ride late last decade and was replaced with Mickey's Runaway Railway in 2020.
My comment on John Oliver and 'The Daily Show' on RFK Jr.
Thanks to driftglass for linking to this entry at Mike's Blog Roundup at Crooks and Liars and welcome to all of you who came here from his link! Also, welcome to all my international readers from Singapore, Hong Kong, Germany, Israel, Canada, and the rest of the world. I appreciate all of you, especially those from Canada, who contributed ~8,720 page views this past week, more than three times my American readers, and enough to pass this month's page view goal.
My comments on I return after a power outage spanning four days and three nights.
Lucky you. As you can tell from the links above, this has been an issue for as long as I have been blogging and even before that. I recall living through three multi-day outages before I started this blog.
Oh, they're right to be upset. So were my wife and me. The constant postponement of when service would be restored, the visits by DTE personnel that didn't result in fixes (at least they were paying attention and investigating, but not repairing), and the worry over losing food and water (our house is on well and septic, so without electricity to power the pump, we will eventually lose water pressure) annoyed and frustrated me. I could leave and visit electricity and air conditioning at work, so I got some relief. My wife was at home and had to charge her phone while driving her car Snow Bear. That got old real fast and she got really incensed. She started looking for hotel rooms even before I could suggest the idea, which someone at work said I should do.
It's already a political issue. Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel issued AG Nessel to Review DTE’s Permanent Waiver Request to Skirt New Outage Credit Rules for Customers back in June and has a link to a complaint form on the Attorney General front page. She's term-limited, but she's not done with politics!
Thanks for linking to this entry and For World Mosquito Day, TED-Ed asks 'Ethical dilemma: Should we get rid of mosquitoes?' at Link round-up for 1 September 2024 and welcome to all of you who came here from Infidel's link. I've been a Consumers Energy customer before and have suffered through two long outages with them. However, I can excuse them because I was way out in the country and therefore neither as easy to fix nor as high priority as customers in urban areas. Also, they seem to have been more helpful than DTE during this outage, as WOOD-TV in Grand Rapids reported they were distributing ice and water to their customers. That's more than I got from DTE!

I've received pushback from sharing videos that were critical of the idea of mosquito elimination the past two years (click on the links in the post to read the comments from Infidel753), so I decided to take the lead of the view in this post that it should be up to the people affected. I'm glad you appreciated my doing so.
