Here's another piece of background music for Alderaan in addition to the one I posted yesterday, This one has the benefit of showing the lovely scenery in addition to playing the music.  And to think this is the planet Moff Tarkin destroyed as a demonstration of the Death Star's power.  Well, he certainly got what was coming to him!

The last time we got into an dispute over moral judgments in science fiction, you won. However, you stated your case to get me to concede. You can do it again, but you'll have to make your argument. What is it?

Oh, there's no moral argument here. I just emotionally think he deserved worse than death. I mean, he even died thinking he was about to win. Given how that thing went up - and the reaction process as we have it - I'm pretty sure he had no time to react at all. Straight from "about to achieve victory" to dead.

For someone who destroyed an entire planetary biosphere just to demonstrate a point? That's getting off easy.

Ah, I see. For him to get his just desserts, then the viewer would have to appeal to the afterlife being a reality in the Star Wars universe, although the viewers have no clue what happens to those who aren't adept enough in the ways of The Force to maintain a presence in the physical universe after death unless they're fans of the Extended Universe, where the Netherworld of the Force exists.
