Dec. 2nd, 2023 01:17 pmMy comment on Broken Peach: Singing Spanish goths and witches for Halloween.
During the past year, I've featured Broken Peach's Halloween music in PBS Eons and SciShow on Piltdown Man for April Fools Day, a Science Saturday holiday special, James Austin Johnson's 'Trump' hijacks the Last Supper on 'SNL' for Easter, and Broken Peach sings 'One Way or Another' from 'Hocus Pocus 2' for Halloween. Here's to hoping a 14th comment brings better luck to this post, which is in danger of falling behind 'Supergirl' vs. 'The Flash' (again) and 'The Punisher' vs. 'The Defenders' at the Saturn Awards for seventh place on the all-time raw page view list.
My comment on [KPOP IN PUBLIC | SIDE CAM] ARTIST - SONGNAME Dance Cover ???? | Koreos. Let's see how long that title lasts. Not long, at which time the comment disappeared. It served its purpose.

Just the same, nice location in front of the Architecture Building. Have you considered shooting at the Inverted Fountain?
My comment on Aphids Are Pregnant The Day They Are Born.
Since other people have mentioned tribbles, I'm going with plan B. Did you know there is a song that mentions parthenogenesis? It's "Nemesis" by Shriekback. It also mentions prehistoric animals. Since I've studied both, it's my theme song.
My comment on THE GUN CULTURE ISN'T SUPPOSED TO BE COMPATIBLE WITH DEMOCRACY.
And to think that Jason Aldean was the performer onstage when the shooting began at the 2017 Las Vegas Massacre. The irony of him promoting gun culture after that puts him in the same category as Steve Scalise, who survived another mass shooting, but didn't change his views on guns. The two of them are lost causes, pun intended.
My comment on For Food Day, a guide to entries with answers to 'Food, Inc.'
I've added three more entries answering questions and prompts from this worksheet over the past two years. I answered questions 21 (again) and 22 in Vox explains 'The chicken industry's worker safety problem' for Food Day 2022. I answered questions 12-15 in 'Last Week Tonight with John Oliver' on food safety for World Food Day, 14 and 15 for the first time. I answered 12 and 13 again in Vox examines hog farming's poop problem for National Food Day along with providing examples of Commoner's Laws, everything must go somewhere, everything is connected to everything else, there is no free lunch, and nature knows best.
My comment on Broken Peach sings 'One Way or Another' from 'Hocus Pocus 2' for Halloween.
Thanks to Infidel753 for linking to this post in Halloween and a belated welcome to all of you who came here from his link. As I wrote in my comment on More spooky songs from the Harp Twins for Halloween 2023, "While I think I introduced the Harp Twins to Infidel, Infidel definitely introduced me to Broken Peach and he usually links to my Broken Peach posts..." I'm glad to find out that he did so this year, too!
My comment on Be Smart claims 'Fixing Daylight Saving Time Is THIS Easy'.
Welcome to Crazy Eddie's Motie News and thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment! Since you lived in Arizona, I think you'll appreciate The Daily Show asks 'Daylight Saving Time: Why?' Desi Lydic visited Arizona and showed that the state did just fine staying on Standard Time all year long.
My comment on Disney World is Out of Control
13:06-13:12 Cassie has the perfect expression for a pickle milkshake! Who needs words when her face says it all?
My comment on THEY WOULD DO ANYTHING FOR NATIONAL SECURITY (BUT THEY WON'T DO THAT).
Kudos to you for making a Spider-Man villain reference for the conservatives on the Supreme Court, just like our host made a Meat Loaf reference in the title.
My comment on Urbanism: Insidious Globalist Conspiracy or Self-Evident Common Sense?
I couldn't find a better video to wish you and your viewers a happy World Urbanism Day!
My comment on DIDN'T WE ALREADY KNOW THAT JOE MANCHIN WAS GOING TO DO THIS?
"18-34 year olds are breaking for Kennedy? WTF?"
I don't think it's any weirder than the youth support for Ron Paul in 2008 and 2012, although that was fueled by anti-war sentiment and the promise of legal weed. RFK Jr. would benefit from youth dislike of both Trump, for obvious reasons, and Biden for his pro-Israel stance, despite RFK Jr. saying he supports Israel, too.* Besides, it's a vote that will piss off their parents whether they're Republicans or Democrats.
*Like everything else about RFK Jr., I find his positions on this issue weird, beginning with his belief that a vast conspiracy killed his father instead of Sirhan Sirhan, a Palestinian. Not enough aluminum foil in the world for him.
My comments on SAG-AFTRA Actors Strike DEAL Explained, Captain America 4 DELAYED 2025, Coyote vs Acme SHELVED by WB.
Listening to Grace describe Fran Drescher's shrinking proposals beginning at 11:25 reminds me of Don Adams as Maxwell Smart doing one of his "Would you believe" bits on "Get Smart!" "Would you believe the Seventh Fleet is sailing here to rescue us?" "Would you believe a Coast Guard cutter?" "How about two cops in a rowboat?" The answer to those was always "No," too.
My take on Will Forte at 42:50 is that he's a comedian's comedian. That's not necessarily a good thing, as the comedians' favorite joke to tell each other is "The Aristocrats." That would never fly with a general audience.
My comment on Rendezvous with Ramaswamy.
This encounter may be one with the future of the Republican Party, but, unlike the Arthur C. Clarke novel you're referencing, it's not proof that there's intelligent life out there. Too bad.
My comment on Ideas for a YouTube channel 2.
Three years later, I finally came up with a name for this channel, "Main Street Acoustic Parade." Now I hope no one sees this before I create it!
My comment on LONG BEFORE TRUMP, WE SHOULD NEVER HAVE NORMALIZED FOX NEWS.
My wife used to work for the Teamsters and we live three miles away from the last place Jimmy Hoffa was seen alive, so we know anyone asking to fight that union's president is asking for trouble. I wonder if Senator Mullin has a clue about that.
My comment on George Santos not running for re-election after ethics report, closer looks from Colbert, Meyers, and Kimmel.
Neon Vincent is my other and preferred nom de net, but I'm not the only person who uses that nym on the Internet, although I may be the most prominent. Unfortunately for you, I'm not the Neon Vincent associated with Walter Crane - Goody Two Shoes (1874) -fixed at the Digital Comics Museum, so I can't answer your questions about the file. Sorry.
My comment on UCLA football players as biodiversity tourists plus biodiversity news.
Ten years later, Blogger hid the comment. I'm letting it sit in limbo and giving thanks to the program for doing my work for me.

Magical thinking — both sides are now doing it.
I looked up metonym and got metonymy, "the substitution of the name of an attribute or adjunct for that of the thing meant, for example suit for business executive, or the track for horse racing." Thanks for giving a name to something I've been doing most of my life and expanding my vocabulary. I guess reading comments is actually good for the mind sometimes!
My comment on DO SOME YOUNG PEOPLE THINK DONALD TRUMP IS COOL?
Digby asked a nearly identical question: Do Young Voters Like Trump Now? She responded with "Looks like it…", hoped that just repeating TFG's own words and actions to young people would be able to reverse the situation, then despaired that convincing them that no one cares about their protest vote is a fool's errand. I would think voting for Cornell West, RFK Jr., or the Greens if they get on the ballot or the Libertarians if the first three don't would be more attractive as youth protest votes than Trump or No Labels. The last strikes me as an older person's protest vote — they would think there is too much difference between the parties, not too little.
My comment on Company Man asks 'The Decline of Rite Aid...What Happened?' A tale of the Retail Apocalypse for Black Friday/Buy Nothing Day.
Thanks to Steve in Manhattan for linking to this post in Mike's Blog Roundup and welcome to all of you who came here after clicking his link! Also, welcome to all my international readers from Germany, South Korea, the Netherlands, and the rest of the world. I appreciate all of you, especially the Singaporeans, Germans, Finns, and Canadians, whose countries contributed more than 1,000 page views each this month!
