In the comments to A dead cat bouncing on a rubber floor, I praised new commenter Narb Xorbian for his constructive criticism. He responded with "Narb likes pretty pictures. And jello." My comeback was "How about pretty pictures of Jell-O?"

Your wife is right. My gas meter reader was nearly in tears over his stock the 1st day. I refused to look.

I still refuse to look. When the dead cat stops bouncing, I'll look. Until then, I don't want to know what my stock is doing because I don't want to know. OK, that might not be the most useful attitude you've ever seen, but it keeps me from jumping off bridges. I can't stop the dead cat from bouncing, so too much information won't help me right now.
