My opinion of a Bond movie from Twitter
Jan. 10th, 2021 02:11 pm"'Licence to Kill' really did Dalton a disservice...My take is that it didn't feel like a Bond movie for two reasons. First, it had the most realistic villain, a drug lord, not a mad scientist/evil engineer. Second, Bond was effectively beaten and the female lead rescued him. Neither is bad, but neither are typical Bond." That earned the following response: "I'd argue the villain in Quantum of Solace is the most realistic. But yeah Sanchez is close behind" I replied "I'll have to admit that I haven't seen 'Quantum of Solace,' but you're right. Not only is Greene the least fantastic, his plot was based on a real event, privatization of Bolivia's water supply. Unlike other Bond villain plots, not only could this happen, it did!"
