neonvincentI rejected the following video for Virginia decriminalizing marijuana leads legalization and decriminalization update for 4/20/20 at Crazy Eddie's Motie News, selecting a longer one with a live announcer from a Michigan TV station instead.
The House Judiciary Committee passed a bill that would legalize marijuana on the national level. This would give states the right to decide their own policies and an incentive to expunge criminal records with low-level marijuana offenses. The next step for the bill is to pass the full House of Representatives. However, it’s unlikely the Senate will take it up soon as many Republicans have criticized the bill.
