Link to a capsule biography

For all the users who have newly subscribed to my journal, here is a link to a capsule biography of me that I wrote for the Coffee Party, which needed one so that I could return as a director. It's very real-life and doesn't go into my fannish interests at all, but it's a start. One thing has changed, which is that my wife and I only have two dachshunds now. Peanut died on Cinco De Mayo. He is much missed.

Sorry to hear y'all lost a pupper. :( It's always sad to lose a fur baby. (My parents currently have two dogs, but have lost three over the past eight years through a combination of bad luck and bad breeders.)

Icon is of my kitty, who died eight years ago (October, 2010 was a REALLY bad month for my family).

Thank you. We also have a cat who came to us with the name of Kit Kat. The other dogs missed Peanut and moped after he died, but Kit Kat saw an opportunity and became more affectionate and outgoing. She's very much my cat now.

Did Kit Kat also become more affectionate with the puppers, or just the humans?

My parents' first dog was a Yorkie named George, and not long after they got him they added Martie. George died suddenly of an illness that had probably been building for a while but only started to show symptoms right before he died. After George died, Martie became a completely different dog. She'd been sweet and affectionate before, but became mean after.

She became a little more affectionate with the dogs, but a lot more affectionate with the humans. In retrospect, she probably saw Peanut as competition, as he was my dog, while the others are mostly my wife's.
