I am now old enough that work is a choice

One of my colleagues greeted me on my birthday Tuesday with "Here's the guy who is now eligible for Social Security."  On the one hand, it was a "you are old" joke.  On the other hand, it made me realize that working is now a choice for me, not a necessity.  For now, I choose to work.
