From 12th to first, a look back through the order of finish at the 2018 DCI World Championship Finals Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Lucas Oil Stadium.
I described the repertoires and themes of the Crossmen, Blue Knights, and Santa Clara Vanguard in Mythology, horror and fantasy among show themes for the 2018 drum corps season. I'm happy to say that the corps with the strongest science fiction components in its show won.
Speaking of which, here's Vanguard wins 2018 DCI World Championship.
For the first time in 19 years, Santa Clara Vanguard will add another piece of hardware to its trophy case, after winning the 2018 DCI World Championship title, Saturday, August 11, at Lucas Oil Stadium.
I was there for that previous championship, a tie with Blue Devils in Madison, Wisconsin in 1999. I have to remind myself that was 19 years ago.
