Three weeks ago, I posted Sweden discovered my blog after I tweeted in response to Greta Thunberg.
The blog has had 9.47K page views from Sweden in its entire 10-year history, currently ranking it 11th overall, 12th if one counts "Unknown Region." That means that it had 2.12K page views before this week, which wouldn't have earned it a place in the top 20, as the current holders of that spot, South Korea and Turkmenistan, have 3.25K page views each during the past decade. Anyway, this could be a coincidence, but I doubt it.
Swedish readers continued to visit my main blog after I wrote that. As of today, a month after the Swedes began visiting in force, the blog has received 39.2K total page views from the Scandinavian country over its history, which means it's had 37.1K page views just in the past month, more than double the ~14K from American readers, making it the number one source of my blog's readers. Swedes, or at least people using IP addresses from Sweden, were the main contributors to Crazy Eddie's Motie News earning 51,602 page views last month, the most since October 2018, which I mentioned in Top posts during January 2021. part 1. Their readership also allowed my main blog to reach its February page view goal on the 14th, leaving half the month to spare. Wow.
Sweden is now 7th overall in the history of the blog, passing China, Australia, "Unknown Region," Germany, and Italy just the past three weeks. I'd like to think it's because of Thunberg, her friends, and fans, but I have a sneaking suspicion a lot of those page views come from these guys. I hope I'm wrong, but even if I'm not, I hope whoever is reading my blog is enjoying it and finding it useful.
