Thoughts on 'Gotham'

"Gotham" ended up exactly where I thought it would and I was satisfied not to be surprised. Now to wait for the effect on Batman going forward. It could be like "Smallville" and "Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman," which seemed to have little influence on Superman. Or it could be like previous media portrayals of Batman, which strongly influenced "Gotham" but also fed back into the comics. I suspect it will be more like the latter. Television and movies seem to have more effect on the Caped Crusader/Dark Knight than on the Man of Steel.
