Drinks and songs for Easter and April
Apr. 1st, 2018 01:06 pmOver at Crazy Eddie's Motie News, I celebrated today's double holiday with Cadets playing Bernstein's Mass for a drum corps Easter on April Fools Day. That means I didn't post any drink recipes there. Instead, I posted them at Booman Tribune in the comments to Midweek Cafe and Lounge, Vol. 58. Here they are, minus the one I posted for Easter 2017.

I have two songs for today, one for each holiday I'm celebrating. First, April in Paris by Count Basie and his Orchestra.
Next, Judy Garland & Fred Astaire - Easter Parade (Easter Parade, 1948).
No, I never do stray too far from movie music ("April in Paris" is also movie music, just not this performance; Count Basie is livelier than Doris Day). That will be the theme of Midweek Cafe and Lounge, Vol. 59, which I will post the day after National Film Score Day. Look forward to movie music all week both here and over at Booman Tribune!
