My comment on A Brief History of The Haunted Mansion.

Yeah, my reaction was "Brief? Haunted Mansion? You? Oh, you meant it." Paradoxically, that makes this a great April Fools!

My comment on The Top Twelve list of corps that NO drum corps wants to find themselves in!

As soon as I saw the preview screen, I figured out what kind of list this was and listened for the corps I marched in who are no longer with us. Sure enough, North Star came in 16th and Anaheim Kingsmen ranked eighth.

My comment on PBS Voices explores 'The Evolution of Science Fiction' for Throwback Thursday.

My comment on Why These Streets Are So Good (feat. Portland).

Yeah, "Rapture" by Blondie: "And then you're in the Man from Mars, You go out at night, eating cars."

My comment on PBS Terra explains 'How Big Business Broke Recycling (And Blamed You)'.

No kidding. With "friends" like them, environmentalism hardly needs enemies. In fact, they're both — frenemies!

Also, thanks for linking to this post and NativLang explains 'What Shakespeare's English Sounded Like - and how we know' for Talk Like Shakespeare Day in Link round-up for 28 April 2024 and welcome to all your readers who came here!

My comment on There's something strange about the saber-tooth cats and dire wolves of the La Brea Tar Pits.

I worked at the Page Museum 35-39 years ago and recall that the Grey Wolves and Grizzly Bears were only found in Holocene deposits at La Brea, so not the same time period. Grey Wolves might have been found since then, but I think they're still rare. Comparison might get somewhere with the mountain lions, as those definitely have a Pleistocene record at La Brea.
